When I talk with trauma survivors, I often hear the question, "how do I know I can trust someone?". Relationship red flags are one thing. But what about actions or language that are pro-active? In other words, how can you figure out if someone is trustworthy?
2020 was a lot to take in and trudge through. So let’s be done with it already! One way to do that is to honor where we have made progress. But instead of how much money we made, let’s talk about the non-traditional successes. Maybe it’s in offering more gratitude. Or a certain number of days moving our body or being sober. Maybe it’s in cutting back on stuff or soda….
It's easy to sit back and solve people's problems for them; it's much harder to be present with them when they work it out themselves. That's what learners do.
