Your stories

I mentioned on my Facebook page last week that I'm starting a new series that will be featured here. It will be called "every day wins".

In a world where we are less and less connected to others, it feels increasingly more important to me to hear other women's small wins. We don't meet and talk around a dining table any longer. Many of us, including myself, can go weeks without talking to a sibling, let alone pay her an actual visit in her home. Most of us no longer have that daily contact where we might otherwise be inspired by someone else's big news. But I still want to hear about those stories! Don't you? That's news I want in my life.

Here's how it will work:

Are you getting up earlier to write every day? Tell me about it.

Are you getting up earlier to write every day? Tell me about it.

You make the decision to share a snippet about a recent personal success. It could be your successful negotiation of a raise or a higher fee. Maybe it's you listening to your gut and calling out something that felt wrong. It could be you asking for help with something tricky. Maybe you approach someone to partner on a project and they agree. It might be as uncomplicated as deciding to go off coffee for a week or deciding to do the weights class offered at your gym. You get the idea. It's an "every day win" if it feels like you stretched yourself and it's paying off or did pay off.

Next, share it with me so I can share it with the world! You can leave a comment below, email me at outside the mom box (AT) gmail (DOT) com, message me via Facebook or reach out via my contact page. Whatever works for you! Be sure to include your preference for me to share your name or if you want it to be shared anonymously.

Happy storytelling and keep an eye out for every day wins to share.
