Wondermine: my new podcast

It all started on a long walk with my friend Larissa Parson. During the early days of the pandemic, we would meet and take walks outside, masked, all over Durham. And it was on one of those walks that we came up with the idea of doing a podcast.

There's an amusing New Yorker cartoon that talks about conversation starters and advises to ask people "what would your podcast be about?" I wish I could find it to share here. But Larissa and I started building the podcast in earnest when we realized that the conversations we were having fell into two categories:

1) discussions we wished we were hearing;

2) discussions we wished we could engage in with more people.

So, naturally being in North Carolina, we went to the beach for the weekend to talk about it. What would a podcast look like? What would we say? We came back with Wondermine.

Wondermine is a limited-series, feminist podcast that looks at the "wow and the "how" of living a life rooted in curiosity, community and liberation. Larissa and I anticipate eight episodes. And the first one is out now! It's our introductory episode, only about 30 minutes, and the transcript is also available if that's more your speed. I'd love you to check it out. Head here or wherever you get your podcasts.
